The Biergarten Restaurant is located in the Germany Pavilion of the World Showcase, offering a lunch and dinner buffet.

The atmosphere creates a beautiful evening in a German Village

and the tables are arranged to seat groups together reminiscent of Oktoberfest celebrations throughout Germany.

The buffet is substantial! from cold salads

to hot entrees

and desserts

We found something to suit all our tastes. Marion, who is primarily vegetarian, enjoyed a meal from the cold salad section. Alan, the most varied eater of the group found LOTS to entice him...

And I was very satisfied as well with what was on my plate

We gave the roasted chicken, roasted potatoes, and chicken spaetzle soup a round of applause and, as well, Marion exclaimed over the cold barley vegetable salad. We were happy with our lunch and willing to forego dessert since we had not called ahead to arrange for a sugar free selection... but look what they pulled out of a hat for us!

The buffet was moderately priced, for Disney, at $12.95 (for lunch) per person with beverages extra. Our Laughing Place gives the Biergarten a solid thumbs up for great value and "good to very good" for food quality, service, and presentation article edtor

Great Restaurant1/6/2010 by jcrreid
Best deal in Epcot at $22 per person. Excellent selection of food. A German Octoberfest setting with better food, cleaner and more room at the tables. Fun to chat with other Disney lovers at the table. Food was very good and good variety. All included except wine and beer. We have gone every year since 1993 and enjoyed it everytime.Read reviews by this author

Absolutely Amazing!1/5/2010 by Nick
I loved it! I have never found a restaurant as good as this at Epcot. You feel like you're in Germany. The only downfall is it's family style. But, besides that, it's great.Read reviews by this author

Loved it!2/23/2008 by Michelle
We tried this during our February '08 visit.  We didn't have lunch reservations, and we were starving.  With only a 15-minute wait, we were very pleasantly surprised.  In fact, this ended up being one of my favorite dining experiences at Disney.

All of the food was fresh and well prepared.  The three of us, my mom, sister and I, sat at a table with a German couple.  They said that the food was good, and while obviously not perfectly German, it was close enough.  They gave it two thumbs up!

The band was a lot of fun, and the inside of the restaurant is a treat.  And yes, it is loud here, so please keep that in mind.  Obviously, this is not suitable for a romantic "hideaway" or  those that don't like ethnic food.  I honestly was surprised at how much I liked it.

Especially good:  the Tomato Salad, Sauerkraut and the Cabbage Rolls.  My great-grandmother makes lebanese cabbage rolls, but I have to say that these were different enough - in a good way.  They contained a piece of sausage in the middle.

A very good place, and well worth the price.  We will definitely be going back.Read reviews by this author

Very....German1/13/2007 by LP
We ate at the Biergarten when we were on the Free Dining Plan. Which was a good thing, because I wouldn't have wanted to pay for it! The food was very different from what we are used to. My kids, 8 and 11, did not enjoy it here at all. All they ate was buns and a bit of chicken and salad. The desserts were not good either. The ambience was neat. We were a table of 8, so we didn't have to sit with strangers. We enjoyed the show. You can smell the cabbage out in front of the German pavillion it is so strong. I am sure many enjoy it, but it is not for us!Read reviews by this author

not a good experience...10/26/2006 by Karla

We went to the Biergarten in October 2006.  Admittedly we got there quite late (about 15 minutes till 9:00 pm, which is when the fireworks show begins) but we were assured that the buffet would be up for quite awhile yet, and that we didn't need to rush at all.

The food was decent, not great, but good enough (better yet, abundant enough) to justify the $23 per person price, but the service was the most disappointing thing of all.  Within 25 minutes of our arrival, part of the buffet had been dismantled (although there were several people, including us still eating). Within another 10 minutes, waitresses were sweeping the floor by and under the tables next to us, dismantling the rest of the buffet, talking loudly to each other across the restaurant, and kept stopping by to ask us if we were done as they pulled dishes away.  Out of respect for my husband (who is of German descent) and unwilling to make a scene in front of my daughter, I decided to keep my mouth shut and not involve the manager.

The final tab for two adults and one 8 year old child came to about $85, and in our entire week at Disney World, this was the worst $85 we spent.  Needless to say we won't go back or advice any of our friends to eat there.

If you're quite hungry and you would like a lot of  food in a short amount of time, regardless of the surrounding atmosphere or service, you may be satisfied here.  For those who are looking for something more, you may want to try Alfredo di Roma next door.  We were there the night before at the same time, and for roughly the same money, we got an excellent meal, abundant portions, and excellent service to boot.

Good for a buffet, dingy atmosphere5/28/2006 by jim b
We have eaten here several times because we think the food is good, for a buffet. The only drawback is the dingy atmosphere. Perhaps, however, it is realistic of a German beerhall.

Meat and Taters!3/10/2006 by Princess Minnie
Hands down my husbands favorite place to eat in Epcot! Meat and potatoes are the fare here. Im sure there are vegan selections, but we eat meat! A great place to relax and meet other vacationers at your table. Only one regret: we should have ordered a pitcher of beer! Everything we tried was yummy yummy!Read reviews by this author

Biergarten is TOPS for Me!10/14/2005 by Dizney Donna

The first time that I tried the Biergarten, I have to say that I was very reluctant.  However, since that first try, (too many years ago to count), this location has become a regular stop on our many Epcot visits.  Although there is no kids section on the buffet, my very picky son had no problem with finding plenty to eat.  The schnitzel, which is chicken here, was chicken fingers in my sons eyes.  Also, there was pork, rotisserie chicken, macaroni & cheese, carrots, pretzel bread, and hot dogs (german sausages) that he enjoyed.  My husband and I love practically everything on the buffet!  The entertainment is short but good, and invites lots of audience participation which is fun.  My son especially likes clanging glasses with everyone at the table.  In summary, Id say, if you have not yet tried the Biergarten, what are you waiting for??!  Its GREAT!

Surprisingly good!!!10/12/2005 by SueV
My husband asked if we could try the Beirgarten on our last vacation, I reluctantly gave in and said Yes, but  going at lunch so we wouldnt ruin a dinner! However I was very happy with our meal there and the wide variety of foods, as was my husband. He now wants it to be one of our regular stops!!!!

I love Biergarten!!!!  The food is great and pretty healthy - mostly tasty meats and veggies with lots of salads.  Lots of low carb and sugar free options. Maybe not so great for vegans/vegetarians bot I give it a 5 cause Im not vegetarian! Read reviews by this author

A fun place10/11/2005 by Christee
A fun place to eat, drink and be merry. The food was quite enjoyable and the entertainment was a nice touch. A place to take the whole family and not have to spend an arm and leg. Read reviews by this author

Surprisingly Good! One of the best buffets.10/1/2005 by Ser Alan
BierGarten continues to surprise me as one of the best buffet style lunches on property. The roast chicken is delightful and boy do they know their way around cabbage and sausage! The entertainment is pretty fun too, complete with lederhosen and good old fashioned German music. One time we even got a whole assortment of sugarfree foods which was a real treat! If you are looking for some Bavarian sing along kinda fun and a tasty buffet then make sure to set aside a slot for the BierGarten in your next WDW visit! Read reviews by this author

What I like about Biergarten9/11/2005 by Ahnalira
This is one of the tastiest buffets on property, imho. I love that there are LOTS of vegetables and salads. The roast chicken is YUM, and the spaetzle is cool:)

The setting is very creative; you have the feeling you are sitting in the center of a small German town. If there is anything I would change, it is that the seating is a series of long tables close together. Id just like a little more personal space; >)Read reviews by this author

Biergaten Is GREAT FUN!!
6/1/2004 by Mark Wolf
I went to the Biergaten in Germany in May 2004 and loved it so much that we ate there twice during the same vacation. The mood, lighting, and atmosphere are perfect!!! Even though you are inside it feels like your outside in old Germany on a Octobor night celebrating with drinking songs and plenty of food! The 32 ounce frosted mugs are great too :) The Biergaten is one of my favorite Walt Disney World restaurants and something I plan to do once every DisneyWorld trip!Read reviews by this author

Good time had by entire family

I went with my entire family. Even the picky eaters found something good here. The service was very good. However, stay away from the big beers if youre not used to them! I became very sleepy in the hot sun!Read reviews by this author

dinner at biergarten
8/22/2003 by Kim
I cant say I would go to eat there again. The food is very bland. Im German. In fact, my Dad still makes his own sausage. I think they need to hire him. I can get better brats at the grocery store than this place has. The entertainment is good. I think this place would be busier if it were just a bar.Read reviews by this author
