Member Reviews: Submit a Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort member review! Fantastic Resort on 7/25/2010 by Tinkerbellfan We recently stayed at this moderately priced resort for seven days. We had an amazing time! My family loved the pools. My husband and I were impressed with the staff and the high level of customer service we received. The housekeeping staff was terriffic and very efficient. We had tasty drinks from the poolside bar during our adult alone time and very much enjoyed the hot tub. My only criticism is the quality of food and lack of variety at the food court. Other than that, we highly recommend this resort. Great value and great service. Read reviews by Tinkerbellfan
Caribbean Beach Resort in WDW on 12/9/2009 by Franniepoppins We really did enjoy our stay at the Walt Disney World Caribbean Beach Resort.
The rooms at this resort are very well appointed. We were in the Pirate section, and enjoyed the whimsical feel of the pirate theme in our room.
The maid service was quite good, we found little towel animals every day. Our shampoo and soap was refilled every day, too. My daughter loves the WDW soap!
The food court is really wonderful! Lots of yummy choices, and the feel of being in the middle of a fiesta; it is fun! I found that even when the food court was at its busiest, tables were available, and clean.
I suppose the one drawback of this resort is how very big it is. They do have buses that run, to bring you around the resort, and you can also call for a van pick up, if you need it. One tip I will give is to arrange with bell service the day before you leave for home, for a specific pick up time. If you wait until the morning, they get backed up. Read reviews by Franniepoppins
stayed in 2007 on 8/13/2009 by John My family and I stayed here in Aug. 2007. Hotel is very relaxing. the food court was ok, not the greatest. I say, over all, the stay here was good, but the long walks to the food court was not something I really enjoyed. We have been to Disney 3 times now with a 4th trip in Dec. 2009, and i would only recommended this resort for a one time stay. I have stayed at three different resorts now, and this resort isn't bad - just not great. Read reviews by John
Our Stay on 8/7/2009 by John Areiter I have stayed with my family at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort since it opened in 1988. It is a "magical" place where you feel the Caribbean atmosphere and can walk the white, sandy beach and enjoy the boating there, as well as the various eateries and markets at the Port Royale. I would highly recommend this resort, especially in the "moderate" category. Read reviews by John Areiter

Relax in the Caribbean on 10/5/2006 by Cheryl My family stayed at the Caribbean Beach and it was WONDERFUL. This place makes you feel like you are in the Caribbean, and way from the hustle and bustle of life. Our room was in Martinique on the 1st floor and we had a garden view room which was very quiet. The room comfortable suited our family of 4. The only thing I would change is the size of the toilet/tub area. But this would never deter me from staying here again. Our housekeeping service was excellent! We had about a 5 minute walk along the water to Port Royal. Every morning we ate breakfast there and the portions are enough for 2 adults to split. This is a great resort for money! Read reviews by Cheryl
Disney Without Kids on 4/24/2006 by grace kirk We were in WDW Mar.20-28, a middle aged couple, wiithout kids. We had the best time & in some ways it was better without our kid(who's now 22& we've done WDW with him tiwce).
We stayed @ The Caribbean Beach Resort. We were in Martinique(Rm. 2552). It was right next to Port Royale. We were on the 2nd floor. Our balcony overlooked the bay & the little white sandy beach with hammocks & loungers. A lovely view. We were pleased with our room. It was always clean. The housekeeper always added pleasant little touches like folding the towels in interesting ways. For the 2 of us it was a good size.
Port Royale had a good selection of fast foods. The quality was pretty much what I expected, not great & kind of pricey. The gift shops had a good selection of souvenirs. In some ways I liked our gift shop better than the parks or the market place as it wasn't so overwhelming with people & choices. I actually did quite a bit of shopping @ these 2 shops. The bar outside served yummy tropical drinks, pricey but a decent size. I found all the staff to be helpful & pleasant.
The resort had that caribbean ambience which is why I chose it. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. There was a walkway all around the resort. We rented the 2 person bike & rode around it for 1/2 hour. I enjoyed seeing the rest of the resort. My husband like doing his morning run around the bay.
We saw quite a few other couples without kids. I feel we got our money's worth. I would definitley recommend this resort to people with or without a family Read reviews by grace kirk

Will not stay here again on 11/4/2003 by Chris We stayed here 10/11-10/18/2003. It was too overcrowded. None of our requests were taken into consideration and we had booked our vacation in January. The food was VERY expensive for the quality you received. We NEVER had a "hot" breakfast, cold french toast stix, cold pancakes, etc. You had to wait in line to get your food, then wait in line to pay, and wait in another line to get your drink. The walk to the food court was way too long for my 3 and 6 year old. The only other option was to take a shuttle that took 5 minutes to talk to and wait again for about 10-20 minutes. The maid service was horrible, the toilet didnt even get cleaned everyday, they made the bed but didnt change the sheets everyday. They definately need to work on their customer service. Last visit we stayed at Port Orleans and that was awesome. We didnt have one complaint about Port Orleans (Riverside). Read reviews by Chris
Stayed at Carribean Beach in Nov 1995 on 4/3/2003 by Lisa When my husband and I stayed at the Carribean Beach Resort back in November 1995, we found it to be nice--but basically a hotel room. It was about the size of an average hotel room so dont expect more. The furnishings were a bit nicer than average, but I personally dont care too much about that unless they are outstanding, which these werent.
The pool areas and such were nice. The only problem is that it all seemed really really big, so walking from one place to the other after a long day at the parks was tiring. My mother-in-law who stayed there too, has MS and it was very tough for her. She can walk, but it tires her out and there werent resting spots inbetween (unlike at the parks) She went back a few years later and stayed at the Wilderness Lodge because it was easier to get around.
There were no "Value Resorts" at the time (these were the lower end resorts then). Im checking those out this time (May 2003) when we take our three children for the first time. The price was about $500 cheaper for three nights at the All Star Movies. Ill let you know if I wish Id had spent the extra $500 for Carribean Beach or not. Read reviews by Lisa

love it on 7/19/2002 by Susan:) I have stayed here twice, and it is my second favorite resort after Port Orleans. I love the Caribbean flare in the Old Port Royale area and in the landscaping and style of the buildings. Last time I was here, our room overlooked a cute little courtyard. It is a very pretty resort, and if you love the tropical beach thing, it is great. Since I grew up in South Florida, the decor and styles are very familiar to me, but I think if you come from up north, this resort would be more of a real treat. I love the room decor, especially the tiles in the bathroom floor! Also, I had the absolute best turkey sandwich at the deli in the food court. The resort is also the most convenient for Epcot and MGM since it is so close. The only bad part is the the buildings are so far apart that it is hard to get to Old Port Royale and the main pool, especially if you are staying in the Trinidad buildings. Read reviews by Susan:)
Relaxing & Peaceful on 6/27/2002 by Cecilia Pierson My husband and I stayed at this resort in March of this year. It was our first (of many to come) trip to Disney World without kids. Our children are grown and our grandchildren are too young yet. We truly enjoyed the resort. Our room was wonderful. It was very peaceful in our area (Barbados), and we will never stay at another Disney resort again. I would recommend it to families and and couples. Read reviews by Cecilia Pierson
refurbishment update on 1/20/2001 by Ahnalira As of January 2001, the Caribbean Beach Resort has completed a major refurbishment in the Bardados section of the resort. All areas will be refurbished by the end of the year. Gotta love the Disney style of upkeep, n'est-ce pas? Read reviews by Ahnalira
Caribbean Beach location hints on 6/21/2000 by Misti The CBR is a large resort with over 2,112 rooms. Rooms reflect the spirit of the islands. Each "village"--Martinique, Barbados, Trinidad, Jamaica, and Aruba--features a cluster of two story buildings that house the resort's guest rooms. Each village offers its own quiet pool, white sand beach and guest laundry. Martinique is the closest to the resort shops and eateries. For honeymoon-style seclusion, request Trinidad South. However, this seclusion also means you will have quite a walk to Old Port Royale. For optimum privacy, ask for a second floor room. If you are an excercise buff, you'll love the 1.4 mile promenade circling Barefoot Bay. It is ideal for jogging or biking! Read reviews by Misti
