Prayers please, for a special intention - 10/25/2008 1:48:36 PM

Status: offline 		My dear, sweet, Aunt Maureen, the nun at the monastery, was found unresponsive in her room this morning.  They believe she had a stroke.  I was there, working in the kitchen, when they found her.  Of course, I was not allowed to go to her, but do know that the ambulance came for her, and a few of the sisters went to the hospital.  The last news we had was not very good.

Please, pray for her, that she will be at peace.  I know how much she loves God, and if this is her day to go to heaven, she will truly be thrilled to be there.  I, on the other hand, will miss her so very much...

Please know you and ALL of your family are in my prayers.  Hoping Aunt Maureen makes a speedy recovery. Or, that her transition is a very Peaceful one.

Status: offline 		Absolutely, Francine.  It sounds like she has had a wonderful relationship with God for many years, and I am sure that the home he has prepared for her in heaven will be glorious.  It always amazes me how some people can embrace the thought of passing and going to heaven while for their loved ones, it is so much harder to lose them.  My prayers are with you all during this time.

There has not been any news, which is not a bad thing.  The Sisters are very private.  I was able to confirm, though, that Aunt Maureen is in a local hospital, so she is still with us.  Of course, I will respect the privacy of the Order, and not go visit her; but prayers are continuing to be said, and relief is evident at our house.

Status: offline 		I was able to see Aunt Maureen today.  She seemed peaceful; her condition is very bad, but she is not in pain.  I prayed with her, and that was very nice.  I am sure she knew I was there, she responded to me just fine, but could not speak at all. 

So, please, keep praying for this dear lady.  I love her very much.
