We' ve been anxious to check out this DVC resort for along time.
July seemed like a nice time to head to the ocean.
Decided to request an ocean view room in the Inn..as opposed to a studio in the vacation homes.
Decided to do this as you take your chances when requesting the vaction homes and we could request an ocean view in the Inn..
Figured since we were going to the ocean..we might as well be ON THE OCEAN!

So here' s the view we got..definitly ocean view!

But I' m getting ahead of myself here!

Vero Beach Resort is about 98 miles from MCO as the crow flies..the fast way on the tollway..WE were anxious to get there so we flew with the crow.

As we drove down the barrier island there we VERY nice and pretty pricy looking resorts and condo places all along the way.

It' s a lovely drive.
I was glad to see that the " Welcome Home!" sign was out and the resort looked friendly and comfortable.

Our first view of the resort from the car window.

I was immediatly reassured that I was indeed ' home' again.

The lobby is pretty with wood tones and comfy looking porch furniture..the folks at the counter were fun and friendly.
We were a bit early..thanks to the flight of the crow,so we walked around outside..bought our Nemo refillable mug and walked down to the ocean.
It was just accross a short boardwalk and down some steps..AWSOME!

Soon we had our room key and we could hardly wait to see what the room looked like and if the view really was of the ocean.

With a key like this..it just had to be Magic!

Yup!
Ocean view, all right on three sides!
And a cute little balcony,too.
Here' s a view from the end of the bed..ocean all around!
A CM told us that they save these rooms for people from Minnesota!

OUr room was a end of the hall room which afforded a nice benefit in that it had a longer entry way hall with a sleeper couch..AND another window!

This room would comfortably sleep six..and had a crib, also.

IN the area of the entry way was the little studio type ' kitchen' ..and it' s really all the kitchen I need (want) on vacation.

The room had 2 queen beds..dressed in yummy beachy colors.

At the end of the bed was a TV and a nice little table..just perfect for writting Mousemail!

The bathroom was pretty standard studio style..sink and counter outside the shower and toilet room.
The shower curtain was darling!

NOw we had just enough time to get out to the beach again before supper.

The ocean view of this resort is totally beautiful!!

The Inn is the taller building and the smaller roof peaks are the beach cottages..VERY cute!

Looking the other way at the resort!

And a quick peek at the beach cottages.
More about these later.

The ocean air was making us hungry and I had made PSs for dinner at Shutters.

Next up:
Dinner and More!
Dinner!

I that you have a new computer to do all this on! What a treat it was to wake up and find this beautiful trip report waiting for me to read it. You have me sold, Vero looks AWESOME! The water looks gorgeous too! And your room was great - I' m so glad they reserve those rooms for people from Minnesota. I couldn' t think of a nicer couple to give the room to!
