On Thankful Thursday I cruised over to DizzieLand and DCA -- to check out the Blue Sky Cellar Preview Center and all the goodies the Imagineers have planned for the plussing and expansion.

Three WOWs aren't really enough to properly illustrate my excitement for what we will have at DCA in a few short years .... hopefully SHORT   :-)     I arrived at DCA before rope drop at 10:00, and enjoyed a bottle of water while waiting with several gazillion folks all geared up to race into the park after "Welcome" spiel was broadcast over the PA system, and the CMs dropped the rope, and then rushed to get out of the way of a massive crowd racing at them -- LOL.    It's almost like a sale day at Zody's, where Debbie Reynolds shops, to get a bunch of bargains before the stock was cleared out, etc.    So, with my roller skates firmly fastened to my mouse ears, I rolled into the DCA Preview Center.    I was the first, and only, guest of the day to go in yesterday morning.   CM Debbie  - Oh mayo meeo!  It's Debbie Reynolds!   When did she become a Disney Cast Member?

Well, golly, CM Debbie was totally hopped up and her cup was overflowing with Disney excitement about the transformation of DCA as it is now, to the incredibly AMAZING park it will be after magic pixie dust will be sprinkled over its 59 acres!   She spent a lot of time with me pointing out and describing all of the highlights on display.   She also had many secrets given to her by Imagineers -- she was sworn to not utter a word or spill the beans, but she did tell me all these "secret plans" are outrageously fantastic and fabulous and beyond belief.   How cruel is that, getting my motor running by her teasing and then not revealing to me what she knows.   I wanted to take her hostage, holding a Mickey Pretzel over her head, and tell her she could NOT have it until she told me EVERYTHING -- !!!

While she guided me around the preview center, pointing out many details in drawings, renderings, and models of the new attractions, new theming, and the new Cars Land, she consistently used the words  FANTASTIC  and FABULOUS  and AMAZING and way, way BEYOND BELIEF, so by the time she finished we were both in a dazed, hypnotic state of mind .... and I desperately needed another bottle of water.   I can't stress enough how perfect this "job" was for HER, and that Disney selected the absolutely best CM to hold court in the preview center.   The attraction/event she, and all of the Imagineers, are excitedly jumping UP and DOWN about is the  "World of Color"  show that will be happening over Paradise Pier.   In her words, this is going to be a gazillion times better than Fantasmic!   Way way WAY better than any fireworks/multi-media show Disney has ever Imagineered, AND she went as far to say it's gonna be SO much more impressive than Illuminations and/or the Bellagio/Las Vegas.   She says it will involve many, many new special effects and technology never used before and she can NOT wait until it has been completed.   After hearing about everything that DCA will become I am as excited, or more so, than Debbie.   She certainly knows how to crank up your motor and get your heart racing!   Ah, she also discussed the DVC expansion at the Grand Californian.   I told her I have some friends from MinnieSoda that alternate visits every year between the LAND and the WORLD, as well as sharing with her the fact that my Disneykin friends have twelve kids, who are grown up and have kids of their own, recently went on a Disney Cruise to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, with their big family and gazoodles of Disneykin friends ..... and then I commented that with all those folks in their group they must have totally taken over an entire deck of staterooms on the ship, and if all of them come out to the LAND and DCA via DVC  (at the same time)  an entire floor of the DVC wing of the Grand Californian will have to be reserved.   She giggled and loved that idea ..... I was glad I could give HER something FABULOUS and FANTASTIC to get excited about.    Hmmmm, so today I am looking at either a fabulous trip to Crate and Barrel   (to pick up a blue, silver, and white table runner on sale)  or a wonderful trip to the market to stock up the fridge and pantry.   I just can't decide which one to do today ... the anticipation is totally and thoroughly devastating me .... Crate and Barrel  or  Ralphs?    Oy!

Wow! Corey!!
That sound like some really good fun!
Can't wait to meet Debbi and check out the good stuff.
I think taking over a wing at the VGC sounds like a plan..especially since they only have about 50 units on the drawing board...
However..it's a start and who knows what will be next!!!
Our next trip to the Land of the Mouse is Dec 4th!!!
Sure hope our Cali Disneykin can pencil in at least lunch if not a day of play.

Okie dokie, I've put you, Rudy, and Molly on my December calendar, arriving at Mickey's place on the 4th.    Are you staying at the Grand Floridian .... OOPS, wrong resort .... that would definately be a very long Monorail ride, from the Grand Flo in Orlando to Dizzieland in Anaheim.   But, I think if Disney really wanted to do it, and they really loved us, 'to the moon and back', they'd find a way of Imagineering a Monorail line from Orlando to Anaheim, anything is possible with a little 'magination and a nice big fat piggy bank holding mountains of pennies.    Lunch with Mickey sounds great -- I had lunch at the Riverbelle Terrace yesterday, sat outside overlooking the river with my Mississippi Turkey sandwich, cold pasta salad, and ice tea.   That was my first time at the Riverbelle since they refurbished it and rearranged the menu.     I also decided to try some pumpkin fudge ... it was good, except it was much TOO sweet and much TOO rich -- I could only eat half of the square they gave me, and could not finish it.   I did not want to think of how much sugar was in it ... much TOO much me thinks.   All this talk about eating is making me ravenous for lunch ... it's 1:00 already.   If I can get all of the fixin's together I'm going to toss a salad and see where it lands, it it sticks to the ceiling of the kitchen I'm in mucho trouble.

See you at Dizzieland!

Oh Corey....that sounds fabulous and you certainly know how to get a smile onto my face with how you convey your wonderful adventures!  You really got me all excited about the new stuff coming to DCA.

Btw...the "Zody's" reference was a hoot.  I had completely forgotten about that place!

Beth,  I have penciled in your visit on the 4th and I will try try try to make it out to see everyone!
