Was a bit disappointing at first we get there about 11:30am and walk through the Nickalodeon Universe And Find Santa ! Yippie No Line! WAIT! STOP!! " Mom that is NOT the real SANTA" oh no! well the kids decide to still go talk with him but this santa had no interest in talking at all just turn around kids and smile and then sent them on there way. Boy were they disappointed and So was MoM I paid for the picture ( which I wish I had not now) And asked the Lady about the free Ride tickets they usually give out every year so the kids can ride 1 or 2 rides. SHe says "sorry I never heard anything about that"

( I am thinking oh no how can I get this out of there heads about riding a ride) THen I ask her about the old Santa Maining beacause I was hoping nothing had happened to him He was such a COOL COOL SANTA! She Says Oh No the Park had no interest in hiring him this yr and he had wanted to tame things back and take it a bit easier this yr and was doing his OWN Private Santa visits ( by appt only of course) Upstairs he had rented his own store front. OH ! OK well there was no way I was going to get in to see him at his point I think.

SO I give the kids the news about the NO rides this yr. And all of a Sudden Savannah yells " MOM!" "LOOK" The new American Girl Store" " Let's Go!" Oh my goodness even the boys were excited totally took there mind off the no ride thing! Hurray! So We browse through very nice store by the way but very small . Let's just say Smaller then the Old Chicago Store and only 2 levels I felt like they really tried to cram alot into that little store. So we buy a few things ( shhh....even the boys there bitty twins #1 and #5 they look just like them) Savannah distracted the boys while I bought those and the Checkout lady was very nice And Said " Boy your Children are beautiful & I see your daughter got your curly hair" hehehe...

Ok So I tell her a little and said well if you saw how WHITE my husband was you'd know we had adopted them and she asked if we had done it through foster care and I said yes and she was just so impressed . When we were leaving she gives the kids each a puzzle book and Savannah a AG Quiz book. Oh how exciting. They liked that! We tell her TY and hope she has a Nice Holiday season! ANd we head to Build a Bear where we let Isaac pick out a new outfit for Taylor ( his cabbage Patch ) he picks out a Santa outfit and some big boy underwear which he thinks is so funny for Taylor to have on Underwear he has to show everyone and giggles.

SO then We head up to our Favorite Place to eat which is Long John Silver's We eat our fish and start to head out and opps mom turned the wrong way I think. well wait what is over here. oh OH OH>>> My Goodness look who was walking out of a store front! " THE REAL SANTA!!!"" The kids got all excited and they ran over to him and he was so nice and bent down gave them all high fives said he was so happy to see them again this year and he would be back in a little bit because Santa was kind of hungry. So I look over and there is a Sign " Immediate Openings to see Santa today only"

So we Walk in and The Lady says As soon as he comes back from lunch in 30 min we can see him. How exciting! So we walked around a little made a wish in the wishing fountain made sure we looked nice again for a picture and then walked right in! we beat him back by 2 min so when he came in and saw us again he made such a BIG deal about seeing them he was so Happy they came over to his special area to spend time with him he spent about 15 minutes with them I bought the DVD but not sure how to upload that kind of stuff to utube or something. Anyways I am so thankful I made a wrong turn and had decided to not change there clothes this time.

I also had asked a helper here about the ride tickets when we had signed up and she said no they should be handing those out down stairs since that was the Park santa now.

yeah well......

So when I paid for the picture and DVD she hands me four tickets for the park downstairs I just looked at her And she winked and said she has her ways.

So I thanked her and we head down . So I am thinking ok four passes ( I am not riding ) Let Savannah ride one on her own and then she can ride one with the boys. and we can go. So Savannah picks this roller coaster goes up and the lady says " no you have to go to the ticket counter and see what you won" WHAT! SO I actually read the tickets and they say you win a 1 ride pass up to a season pass oh ok so we go find out and all four tickets win all day wrist bands!

Oh my goodness! Well I wasn't riding so I just hung on to mine and let the kids just have fun there were no line at all so they just kept going and going! We get to the Bumper cars and Savannah is taking turns with the boys because neither one was tall enough to go by themselves. So this Dad comes up and his son wants to ride also and the lady tells the dad "well sir you have to ride with him" so he puts his stuff down and goes up and she says " do you have a wrist band?" he says " No"
And then she says "sorry no band no ride" Now come on! The little boy was crying his dad was telling him sorry son I only have enough for you to have the band SO I grab my wrist band and hand it to him he just looked at me " are you sure maam?" Yes" I said " My daughter can ride with my boys you go have fun with your son" He was so happy and thankful I thought he was gonna hug me lol

So later Savannah asked me to ride with them on the Ferris wheel I said I can't I blessed someone with my band. She puts her hand up for a high five and says " Mom You Rock"

All in all it was a good day and we got to See the REAL Santa! Here's the Picture!

Aww Amie, it sure sounds like you all had a wonderful time! I was going to mention Santa was upstairs this year, but had never noticed there was another downstairs still (certainly the downstairs one is an imposter

) It was so sweet to hear your experience with the ride tickets too and to win 4 Wristbands at that! I had gotten a couple of those in September from a carnival I went to and one had been the wristband too. The Real Santa picture is just adorable!

Oh Amie, what a wonderful day (despite the fake Santa). You have such a wonderful and loving heart. I can you see that you are passing that onto your children too. What a wonderful surprise to get all day wristbands for the four of you. I think Santa's Helper really had a bit of Christmas magic. And I bet that man really felt the holiday spirit when you gave him your wristband. I love the picture of kids with the Real Santa. The new AG holiday dress looks beautiful on Savannah and her doll.

Dawn I loved that Holiday dress and saved up a few wks of babysitting money from the 1 little girl i watch 3 days a wk. And was able to get that for savannah And we purchased Samantha's at the mall Only I did not realize that the doll sweater did not come with the dress so Samantha does not have the sweater to match. Oh well!

Savannah was fine with that.

The sweater set for the doll wasn't even available when the dress came out. My PS told me (in September) that they still didn't have an arrival date. So my guess is a lot of dolls went without the sweater set for a long time.

ah good to know...Thank you! Because the shelf was empty where the doll dresses were and I had to ask and she brought it out.

I did not even see a spot where the sweater might be. But they had LOTS AND LOTS of the blue asian stlye holiday dress. We got that 1 also for our Molly! Only we got it home and it is REALLY REALLY tight on her. hmmm....Just realized out Molly ( who is bald right now poor thing) might be a older version. she had no tags. Cool! Course she has no hair either but I can fix that. Just ordered the wrong size before and now will need to wait to order a different one for her. I did send her in to AG to fix her eyes ( she had Silver eye in both eyes) And they fixed it for free. But I requested they leave her bald. so she came home with a bitty hat on.
